What stays on your device
Your shelf of finished models, builds in progress, your room's guestbook (which visitors you've met), settings (sound, music, vibration, build timer) and which packs you've unlocked are stored locally on your device. They are never sent to us or anyone else. If you are signed in to iCloud, your shelf, builds in progress and guestbook are also kept in your own iCloud account (Apple's key-value storage) so they come back after a reinstall or on a new device; we have no access to it. Settings →Erase shelf and progress clears your builds, including the iCloud copy, at any time.
If you turn on notifications, reminders (a new model has arrived, a visitor is coming to your room) are scheduled on your device by iOS. Nothing is sent to us to make them work.
When you tap Share on a finished model or in your room, the game draws the picture on your device and hands it to the iPhone's share sheet. It goes only where you choose to send or save it; we never receive it.
Anonymous analytics
Cozy Bricks uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand in aggregate how the game is played: for example, how many people finish the tutorial, which models are started and finished, how far into a build people get, how many hearts a finished model was given, if you choose to give any, how often and for how long the room of finished models is opened, how many models are out in it, which room visitors have been met and whether the guestbook was opened, whether a visitor's suggestion for a model was followed, whether a model was built for a visitor who asked for it (and how many days that took), whether a wrong piece was picked and whether a piece was looked up in the instructions, whether a picture was shared (which model, or the room, and whether you went through with it), how many models they have finished, which settings (such as the build timer) are switched on, whether a pack screen was opened (and from where in the game), whether a pack's free sample model was built, whether a pack was bought or the purchase was cancelled or didn't go through, whether this is a new install, how the first-time tutorial ended, and when something in the app goes wrong (the kind of error, never anything about you). It receives a small, fixed list of anonymous events like these, together with basic technical details such as app version, iOS version, device model, and whether the app came from the App Store or is a test build.
It does not receive your name, email, Apple ID, location, contacts, or anything you type. Each install is represented by a random identifier that is hashed before it leaves the device, so we cannot identify you. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is not used, and Cozy Bricks does not track you across other apps or websites. See TelemetryDeck's privacy policy.
Information we do not collect
- No name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos or microphone.
- No advertising or ad networks, and no data sold or shared for advertising.
- No tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
- No account or sign-in, so there is no profile about you.
Purchases
Optional model packs are sold through the App Store and processed entirely by Apple, under Apple's Privacy Policy. We never see your payment details or Apple ID; the game only asks Apple which packs you own.
Children
Cozy Bricks is suitable for all ages. It does not ask for or knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13, and it contains no ads, chat or links to social media.
Your choices and rights
Because the analytics are anonymous, we hold nothing that can be linked to you. If you have questions or want to exercise a right you have under your local law (such as the GDPR or CCPA), email us and we'll help.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
